Birmingham Police hassle man for filming them hassling a young cyclist
Two Officers in Birmingham are seen in this video hassling a Birmingham man, Darren Pollard, who is filming them while they hassle a young cyclist.
Darren Pollard is in his own garden, is not breaking any laws, and yet the officers in this clip, feel it necessary to harass him, inventing the law as they go.
When the officers find out that they are incorrect, instead of offering any sort of apology, the simply walk away, while refusing to give their names.
Well done Darren Pollard, you are a true defender of freedom from the Police State!

The boy had just pase a police barrier. The police were warning him of the potential dangers.

Congratulations on standing up to the fascist bully boys (and ladies) - in many other countries the police are there "to serve and protect", but not in Britain. To the 'anonymous' poster above - you obviously have missed the point (or perhaps you are a police officer).

That the wouldnt give their Names when asked says it all . You have a LEGAL RIGHT to ask them their Name/Number and Station.
I don't know this area and found the site by chance while surfing the net but I wonder WHY would someone want to film police carrying out their duties, is beyond me!
It is obvious that Mr Pollard is an aggitator and against law and order but I bet he would be the first to call police if he was being filmed by someone lurking in the bushes (or the back Garden in this case) and no; I am not a police officer, I am just a decent citizen who has nothing to fear from police carrying out their duties.
All I can say is; thank goodness I do not live near you Mr Pollard because if you film from your garden on a regular basis I think I would have to look at getting an ASBO issued against you. Don't other people have rights too (particularly those who you film)?Have you ever thought that maybe they don't want you and your camera filming them, you're one creepy guy Mr Pollard!!!
Spread the lies. Anyone can see you are a fool for saying such silly things. It's obvious the police where in the wrong, as they walked away without an arrest. Clearly you are out to discredit me but your attemtps proove all the more how people like you are all for police abusing people who are doing nothing wrong. It is not illegal to film UK Police Officers as it stands. Thats not to say that this is correct. You, sir, are a tool. You have clearly filmed yourself passing a police barrier and getting stroppy. You also failed to provide your details to the officers in the video. If it weren't for the nameplate on your door, that could have caused your arrest. Why not just join society, and stop stirring up trouble? You could quite easily be causing distress to the people you film (and no, I do not mean the Police Officers).
As to O.Cromwell, the Police (and other services) are based around the idea that the individual is the primary. E.g. If you make an emergency call, your individual needs will be seen to. Fascism is the political theory that individuals are subordinate to the interests of the state. I suspect you discovered that word in the Daily (Hate) Mail and decided it would be useful. I would encourage you to research such things in future. As it stands, you appear to be an oxygen thief, which is, sadly, not a crime.
Mr pollard thank you for high lighting some problems we are having with the police the EU are making us have these problems and the older police men with common sense and not so long back these police would have had a bit of fun with you and posed for the camera.and said sorry for being wrong.not all police are like this but we need to keep an eye on them.
